  • Am I suitable for this treatment?

    The vast majority of adults with volume loss will be suitable for treatment. The areas I treat at The Rensburg are

    - Lips

    - Nasolabial folds (nose to mouth lines)

    - Marionette lines (corner of mouth to chin lines)

  • Is it safe?

    At The Rensburg I use Lumifil which is highly regarded due to its high viscoelasticity, patented Particle Technology (LUMIFIL has achieved uniform particle size, creating easier injections and moulding and enhancing the effects of the treatment), high quality & density – LUMIFIL offers one of the most dense HA fillers on the market achieving a huge 2,500,000 da particle weight, meaning added volume for longer.  

  • Does it hurt?

    You do have the option to have numbing cream applied before your treatment, but generally fillers are not a painful treatment. You may experience slight discomfort during the injection as you are causing trauma to the skin.  

  • What can I expect after the treatment?

    The change in your appearance is immediate.  You will experience swelling and some do experience bruising and tenderness. Allow 2 -3 days for all this to settle completely.


  • Are there any side effects or risks?

    Aside from the normal side effects of swelling and redness, fillers rarely cause more serious complications. I will discuss these with you at your pre-treatment consultation but generally these can include: infection, lumpy skin, minor scarring and blocked blood vessels.
